Baker Sterchi Member Nick Ruble is cited in a Bloomberg Law article titled "Early Court Loss for FTC Noncompete Ban Signals States in Charge" concerning the ruling from the Northern District of Texas granting a preliminary injunction barring enforcement of the FTC Rule seeking to ban most non-compete agreements. The article points out that enforcement of non-competes is now left to the states. Ruble noted that courts in Missouri and Kansas have exercised greater scrutiny of the legitimate business interests supporting non-compete agreements.
