Successful Defense of the Country Club Plaza Following Serious Parkour Injury

In October 2022, a defense jury verdict was obtained in favor of the County Club Plaza in a serious injury claim brought by an individual who fell over 20 feet into a ventilation opening while practicing Parkour. The case was tried in Jackson County, Missouri. The plaintiff suffered numerous severe injuries to his head, arms and legs. The last pretrial demand to settle was $1,200,000. The jury returned a defense verdict in favor of the owners and managers of the County Club Plaza, confirming the Plaza had been maintained in a reasonably safe condition.
