Baker Sterchi Members Paul Venker and Lisa Larkin earned recognition in the 2021 Missouri Lawyers Media POWER List of Appellate Attorneys.
The POWER List features the 30 most powerful appellate attorneys in Missouri as identified by the Missouri Lawyer Media editorial team after reviewing published appellate opinions, interviewing attorneys and other leaders around the state, and examining Missouri Lawyers Weekly archives. Venker and Larkin both received Missouri Lawyers Media Influential Appellate Advocate awards in 2017.
Venker’s practice has always focused on trials and appeals. He has taken dozens of trials to verdict in a variety of cases ranging from employment discrimination and medical malpractice to product liability and other serious personal injury and general liability matters. He has been an active appellate lawyer since clerking at the Missouri Supreme Court.
Larkin’s has practiced exclusively in litigation and appeals since 1996. Her practice is concentrated in appeals and complex motions, personal injury defense, medical malpractice defense and business litigation. She received the Missouri Lawyers Media Up & Coming Award for her mentorship of young attorneys in 2020.
