Baker Sterchi is pleased to welcome its 2025 class of summer law clerks in the Kansas City office.
Charlie Ketchum, a rising 3L student at the University of Kansas School of Law, where he serves as staff editor of the Kansas Journal of Law and Public Policy and as a member of the Traffic Court; Business and Tax Law Society; and International Law Society. He is a recipient of the Jayhawk Scholarship as well as the Payne & Jones Lawyering Award for Outstanding Oral Advocacy and Professionalism. Ketchum previously served as a law clerk at the Kansas Department of Revenue and earned his undergraduate degree in finance from the University of Kansas.
Keali Myrick, a rising 3L student at the University of Kansas School of Law School, where she serves as a member of the KU Federal Bar Association, Women in Law, Business & Tax Law Society and Federalist Society. In 2023, she received the Payne & Jones Lawyering Program Award as well as the CALI Excellence for the Future Award. Myrick earned her undergraduate degree in political science and journalism from the University of Missouri in Columbia, where she was social chair for the Chi Omega Rho Alpha Chapter.
Katie Nelson, a rising 3L student at the University of Kansas School of Law. She earned a master’s degree in business analytics from the University of Kansas, where she was a recipient of the Business Analytics Student Study Leader Scholarship and recognized as an Outstanding Master of Science in Business Analytics Student of the Year. Nelson earned her undergraduate degree in finance and Spanish from the University of Kansas, in which she earned a Seal of Biliteracy in Spanish.
Kaylee Popejoy, a rising 3L student at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, where she serves on the Editorial Board for the UMKC Law Review and as a member of the Student Bar Association and Phi Delta Phi. She is a recipient of the Rubey M. Hulen and Second Century Scholarships as well as the CALI Award for Business Organizations. Popejoy previously interned at the USDC, Western District of Missouri for the Honorable David Gregory Kays. She earned her undergraduate degree in psychology with a minor in human development and family sciences from the University of Missouri in Columbia.
Baker Sterchi's summer law clerks will attend hearings and depositions, prepare blog posts, and undertake various research projects. They will also have the opportunity to participate in social activities.
